Back in 2001, Anthony worked at the front desk at my office. One day, I noticed him putting postcards into everyone's mailbox—it was for his band, Loquat, who was playing that evening. I didn't make it out to the show, but a friend told me that I had missed something special. Of course, I attended their next show and instantly knew I wanted to work with them. I met the rest of the band a week later, and fall was scheduled for release. The East Bay Express named fall was named one of the best records of 2002.
