Through the slow murmur of machinery, the warbled pulses of guitar strings, and the wash of field recordings and processed chords, Colophon's spring radiates a sonic structure of trance-induced tones that boom and fade as melodies weave in and out of carefully constructed frequencies, eventually losing themselves in layers of obscured, quiet pulses. With two tracks running over 17 minutes in length, spring paints a scene that never fully comes into focus, leaving listeners to contemplate the surrounding shapes.
All songs written by Jefre Cantu-Ledesma. Featuring Danny Grody on acoustic guitar.

"SPRING is the sound of inner worlds, of vital functions that lie beneath language, perpetually shifting and pulsing with somatic activity. Only occasionally does a discernable rhythm or ghost melody surface in Colophon's murky ambient soundscapes." "Following the lead of fellow dreamy code-slingers Ekkehard Ehlers and Stephan Mathieu, Cantu-Ledesma transforms his source material into a beautiful pixelated ambience haunted with residual melodies and distant rhythms." "SPRING offers a warm, vocal-less ambience of droned guitars and sound effects that communicate the subtle beauty of
the season.... mirroring the natural transformations of a bleak, wintry landscape to one of life."
